Why choose AllMy Ledger over Xero

Save $700+ over 3 years

$149$199 once vs $25+/month on Xero's Early plan. No annual renewals, no plan upgrades to unlock features you already have.

Works without internet

Xero needs an internet connection to load your books. AllMy Ledger runs entirely on your computer. You can work from anywhere, even offline.

Your data, your computer

With Xero, your accounting data lives on Xero's servers in the cloud. With AllMy Ledger, it lives on your computer in a local file you control.

No plan tiers to climb

Xero's Early plan caps you at 20 invoices and 5 bills a month. Go past that and you're pushed to Growing or Established. AllMy Ledger has no invoice limits at any price.

Simple Mode

Xero uses accounting terminology everywhere. AllMy Ledger's Simple Mode uses plain language like "Money In" instead of "Accounts Receivable." Switch to Accountant Mode when you need it.

Bring your balances over

The Import from Another System wizard detects Xero exports and reads them directly. Enter your account balances at a cutover date, then add this year's transaction history if you want it.

Where Xero still fits

Xero makes sense if you need one of these specific things:

Direct bank feeds: Xero connects to your bank and auto-downloads transactions. AllMy imports OFX/QFX files manually.

Mobile access: You need to send invoices or check your books from your phone. AllMy is desktop-only.

Payroll: You have employees on payroll. Xero connects to Gusto for this; AllMy doesn't do payroll (use Gusto alongside instead).

Multi-user collaboration: Multiple people need to work in the same books at once. AllMy is single-user.

Online invoice payments: Xero lets customers pay invoices online by card or bank transfer. AllMy records payments manually.

A large app marketplace: Xero connects to hundreds of third-party apps. AllMy Ledger doesn't have an app marketplace.

If none of those are must-haves, AllMy Ledger saves you $700+ over 3 years.
