Small software business tired of slow QuickBooks, ads, and popups. We fixed it.
We were on QuickBooks Online but it got slower to do anything, yet the subscription kept going up.
Clicking popups off, cancelling surveys, no I don't want to upgrade.
Now we don't have those.
We also briefly switched to QuickBooks Desktop so we could run offline. It was faster, but Intuit has stopped developing it, and it looks like something from the 90s. The choice was pay forever or get forced to migrate again. At some point you stop using the tool and start fighting it. So as software developers in the financial space, we wrote our own.
We're a small software business that does its own bookkeeping. We understand the problem from both sides and spent last year building this. We used it to close our own books.
AllMy Ledger is desktop accounting software. Runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. You download it, create a file, and everything lives on your machine. No login, no cloud, no sync issues.
- double-entry bookkeeping
- multiple companies
- invoicing with PDFs and email
- estimates that convert to invoices
- bank reconciliation
- reports you actually need: P&L, Balance Sheet, Schedule C, and several more
It imports data from QuickBooks Online or Desktop so you can keep going.
$199 once. No yearly renewals, no feature paywalls. There's a 7-day free trial to try it out.
There are some things it doesn't do. No payroll, we'd point you at Gusto, Patriot, or even QBO, who do that for a living. No Plaid-style bank feeds, we run offline but you can still export OFX from your bank and drop it in. No mobile app. The last two might come later. Bank feeds would probably ship as an optional addon if there's demand.
Your files live on your computer. You can run it on your desktop and laptop. You can export your data at any time, or back up the whole ledger as a single file.
We created this because we were tired of the same things you probably are. If this hits a note, give us a try.
